VG dance workshops provide dance workshop sessions for primary schools around the UK specializing in dance topics such as African dance, Bollywood & and Indian dance, Street dance, Chinese New Year dance, Haka Maori dance, Commonwealth dance, Morris dance, Flamenco dance, Greek dancing, Egyptian dance, Martial arts, Carnival & Samba dance and Musical theatre.
CURRICULUM-LINKED DANCE WORKSHOPS
Primary and secondary schools (EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4) dance workshops are curriculum-linked topic based giving children and students theoretical facts about the topic and a huge emphasis on practical-based dance workshops.
These dance workshops are led by west end professional Vivian Gayle.

Providing Egyptian dance workshops for primary schools, secondary schools and SEN schools for all activities and events.

The Egyptian dance workshops are aimed at EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4.
​
The Egyptian dance workshops for schools are inclusive for all children in the national curriculm framework. Children will explore the different traditional styles of Egyption dance and cultural facts about Egypt. The dance workshops will focus on Egyption movements ,positional poses, choreography formations and characterisation.
​
The learning of the three dance styles in the Egyptian workshop dance are Belly dance, Tanoura and saidi dance. The Egyptian dance styles have a different individual focus of movement and the dance workshop will be collaborated in fusion of styles.
​
The Belly dance style focuses on fast hip movements and dynamic rythmns working on placement, timing, speed.
​
The Tanoura dance style is a very energetic dance which is popular for males, They use lots of fast turns and hand gestures and angles. The Saidi dance style is very traditional folk dance which has martial art elements with dancers working in groups.
The Egyptian dance workshops are performed with traditional Egyptian music learning about the different instruments and sounds.

Our Egyptian dance workshops are inclusive to ages and abilities.
WORKSHOP STRUCTURE
We help plan your school workshop day either half-day or full-day.
Each class recommended length of classes is;

30-minute KS1 sessions

40 minutes KS2 sessions

WORKSHOP BREAKDOWN

Intro to the topic-based dance workshop theme exploring the culture and fun facts.

Warm-up and movement games working with class peers.

Learn a fun dance routine aimed at all abilities within the class.

The dance routines will be performed at the end of the workshop.​
