Primary and secondary schools (EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4) drumming workshops are curriculum-linked topic based giving children and students theoretical facts about the topic and a huge emphasis on practical-based drumming workshops.

African Drumming Workshops for Schools
Providing African drumming workshops for primary schools, secondary schools, and SEN schools in all activities and events. The African drumming workshops are aimed at EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4.

Traditional African instruments are used in the African drumming workshop classes for schools offering a cultural African experience in music, and dance. Pupils will develop rythmns and language by using djembe drums which are provided throughout the workshop sessions creating sounds and music from the African continent. Children will unite together by exploring Drumming patterns by working together as a group of a drum circle.

The African drumming workshops are great way to develop learning of the African culture and are educational for all age groups within the National framework. The drumming workshops are energetic, create a great atmosphere and enhance confidence and musicality.

Our African drumming workshop is booked throughout the year and are great for school topic events such as Arts week, Black History Month, Multicultural weeks and International days.

WORKSHOP STRUCTURE
We help plan your school workshop day either half-day or full-day.
Each class recommended length of classes is;

30-minute KS1 sessions

40 minutes KS2 sessions

WORKSHOP BREAKDOWN

Intro to the topic-based drumming workshop theme exploring the culture and fun facts.

Warm-up and movement games working with class peers.

Learn a fun dance routine aimed at all abilities within the class.

The drumming routines will be performed at the end of the workshop.
