The Commonwealth dance workshops are a celebration of the different countries in the Commonwealth. They are educational exploring different countries through dance. GREEK DANCE WORKSHOPS

Learning and exploring traditional Greek dance in schools. Children of all age groups will learn Ancient Greek dance and the evolution of time with the different styles of traditional Greek dance in the school workshops. Children will learn authentic traditional Greek dance, the origins and vocabulary of steps. The Greeks believed that Apollo was the god of dance and the goddess of dance was known as Terpsichore. AFRICAN DRUMMING WORKSHOPS

Traditional African instruments are used in the African drumming workshop classes for schools offering a cultural African experience in music, and dance. Pupils will develop rythmns and language by using djembe drums which are provided throughout the workshop sessions creating sounds and music from the African continent. Children will unite together by exploring Drumming patterns by working together as a group of a drum circle.
