Enhancing School Curriculums and Cultural Awareness

Our Commonwealth Dance Workshops for schools are fully curriculum-linked and designed for EYFS, KS1, and KS2 pupils, making them perfect for primary schools, SEN schools, and performing arts schools across the UK. These workshops promote cultural awareness by introducing students to the rich traditions, heritage, and dance styles of Commonwealth countries such as India, Ghana, Jamaica, South Africa, New Zealand, and more.

By exploring the cultural significance of dance within the Commonwealth, pupils gain a deeper understanding of global citizenship, shared values, and diversity. Each workshop blends fun, physical activity, and education, helping teachers meet Geography, History, and PE curriculum goals while enriching students’ cultural learning.

School Assemblies and Showcases

Our Commonwealth dance workshops for schools can be adapted for school assemblies, multicultural events, and international week celebrations. Pupils have the opportunity to perform African, Bollywood, Caribbean, Pacific Island, and Gumboot dances for their peers, teachers, and parents.

TESTIMONIALS

We had the pleasure of Vivian visiting our school to deliver a multicultural week of workshops to our infant's school children, nursery to year two. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, Vivian was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the events and the styles of dancing. We were so impressed with Vivian, that we then booked another workshop in the same term. Vivian, upon his return, again was outstanding. The children were very lucky to have been taught by Vivian.
